Part exchange for a bigger instrument: If the instrument is kept in immaculate condition I will allow up to 50% of the original purchase price to be used in the part exchange of a bigger outfit. Less if the instrument/bow/case shows signs of ware.
Example:
- Purchase price of a new 1/2 size violin outfit £120
- After several months , you need to change to a new 3/4 costing £120.
- With the part exchange deal you only pay £60 for the new 3/4 (as long as the violin being part exchanged is kept in excellent condition.
Factory seconds
I have a few factory seconds available, where the instrument has been returned to the supplier because of a small non-structural imperfection. This can be a small blemish in the varnish or other small cosmetic mark. All factory seconds are otherwise in perfect working order and are sold with a saving of around 40% of the R.R.P.
Preloved:
I have a selection of preloved instruments/bows and outfits. Contact me for my current price list. These instruments range from look “like new” to “well worn” , prices reflect the instrument condition.
Good quality new instruments.
I have a few good quality new violin outfits, bow and case included. I’ve imported these violins directly from the maker in China and they have an antique appearance making a pleasant change from the normal. Prices start from £450.
